Misfit Helen attended this trip led by John Gunner (and his lovely wife, Jenny).
Over three days we had a whirlwind tour of the complicated and oft debated rocks of the Lizard Peninsula Complex. We started on the west side of the peninsula where the Complex meets the Devonian sedimentary rocks of the rest of Cornwall and worked our way all the way round to the same meeting point on the east of the peninsula.
A lovely little geology guide available from National Trust stalls is "Under The Skin Of The Lizard" which details several walks in the area with geological notes and explanations. Also poular amoung our group were the flowers and birds booklets in the same range.
